Uromastyx dispar maliensis |
 |
Uromastyx dispar maliensis
From South, South West Algeria and North East Mali.
Presently there are no import quotas in Europe for Uromastyx dispar maliensis. Despite the thousands imported individuals between 94 and 99, it is rare in captivity. Very close to Uromastyx acanthinura, it is robust and can be advices to begin with spiny-tail lizards. However, its size is less important than the one of Uromastyx acanthinura : 35-40 cm long maximum (13 to 15 in.). Yellow and black are the main colours. It is a vegetarian and desert lizard.
We have a small group from different lineages. We breed this species each year, in small quantity.
