Physignathus lesueurii lesueurii
From Eastern Australia, York Cape in Queensland to New South Wales, between the Great Dividing Range and the Coast.
The Australian water dragon is a large agamid, whose males can reach 90 cm (35 in.) and females 70 cm (27 in.). Hardy and adaptable, it can be bred all year long in outdoor terrarium in the South of France.
I wrote a complete article on this species in Reptilmag N° 16.
We do not breed this species any longer.
